Orders, Shipping & Returns

How quickly will I receive my order?

We typically process orders within 2 business days. Our typical shipping schedule is MWF mornings, Pacific time. We always ship with USPS Ground from the zip code 90501 (Los Angeles area).

TIGHT TIMELINES

  • If there is a specific delivery date you require due to circumstances such as traveling or moving, please email us at hello@activistskincare.com to alert us of your timeline, confirm we can ship on time, and ask about upgraded shipping options to receive your order faster.

OCCASIONAL DELAYS

  • Short delays sometimes occur because our products are handmade in small batches instead of mass-produced; there may sometimes be a slight delay of a few days if we are working to catch up with unexpected demand.
  • If there will be a delay longer than a few days, for circumstances such as an ingredient being unavailable for a period of time, we will make a note of it on the product page and email you if you've already placed your order.

What is your return policy?

As an ethics-driven, handmade brand, we can't mimic the return policies of large retailers. (The discarded products, shipping and handling creates unseen waste and costs we cannot absorb.)

To avoid the need for returns, we encourage you to try samples or our Trial Kit first.

We only accept returns on unopened, unused, full-size products. Please see our full return & refund policy for details.

Do you offer international shipping?

We ship from California and offer delivery throughout the U.S. via USPS Ground Advantage.

We sometimes offer international shipping (especially to Canada), depending on the season. Unfortunately, international shipping is usually quite expensive and/or slow. We also cannot predict any duties, tariffs, etc. that you may be charged.

Please view the available options at checkout, and if you don't like what you see, we suggest you kindly ask your local retailers to sell Activist — that way, you can get our products from a store near you!

What's the status of my order?

Certifications

While we currently meet the standards of many sustainability-oriented certifying bodies, we have not yet completed certification. For example, we are in the process of Carbon Neutral and Leaping Bunny certifications and we fully expect to be granted certification. We also use many Certified Organic ingredients but do not have organic certification.

Activist is also a member of 1% For the Planet and has successfully certified our donations, proving that at least 1% of our revenue went to approved environmental partners for the past three years, although this is not a certification per se.

We look forward to completing these and other certifications in the future as our resources allow. Certification is a time-consuming and expensive process that presents some hurdles for small, self-funded businesses, which is why we have not made the same progress as larger businesses with outside funding despite the fact that we go above and beyond the requirements of many certifications.
